Opening and Closing Time of the Controls at PBP2011

There has been a lot of confusion because of the advise given by volunteers during the PBP.
The check point volunteers were told , not to notice the control times because there were too many starts. For the volunteers, it would have been a nightmare to check the time rider per rider. Of course, it is not exactly what is put in the PBP rules but that the  decision was as an organizer's right.
The rule for making the controles is as below:-

Article 14 : Opening and Closing Time of the Controls
The opening and closing times indicated in the brevet card must be respected scrupulously.
Note : For riders starting from 04:00 p.m. to 05:30 p.m., all opening times are free. Riders must arrive at each control within the time limits. Only a serious material incident may be accepted as justification for late arrival, and the delay must be recovered within the next two controls at the latest .

Hope this clears the doubts of who qualifies and who does'nt.
Ofcourse the final decision wil be relayed to us after the ACP meets for homologation.

Thanks from Japan

During the registration of the PBP participants an appeal had been made for a voluntary purchase of a Bandana the proceeds of which were to be used for relief towards the  recent earthquakes
This got an over whelming response.
A letter from the Organizers is quoted below

Dear randonner,

I am pleased to let you know that we have received so many orders, exceeding our original expectation, for the bandanna in support of Japan earthquake/tsunami relief.  We have just received 4 large boxes full of bandannas and leaving for France with them soon.  When handing each bandanna to the suporters, we would like to include a little note with the bandanna with the message:
"All proceeds from sales of this bandanna will be donated for Japan Relief effort."
May I ask you to translate this sentense to your language?   Thank you.

Best Regards,
Tak Kawano

I have taken the liberty to translate
as इस बान्दाना की बिक्री से सभी आय जापान राहत प्रयास के लिए दान किया जाएगा.

Whatever the calamity A Randonneur will always be there ready to help.

RandonneursIndia Procedures for Queries/Disputes.

Henceforth please note

The ACP representative Satish Patki is the only correspondent of the Audax Club Parisien (ACP) for India.
Any direct correspondence from a person or an association of India will be returned to the latter unanswered by the ACP.

2. If there is a request that a particular communication be sent to ACP in Paris, this request may be made to the ACP representative in India who will decide upon the same.

3. Disputes on any BRM will be referred to the organiser of the BRM. The appeal against the decision of the organisers of the BRM shall lie to the  representative of ACP in India. Such a decision on any dispute will be final.

Please note this and act accordingly. Let us try and get our procedures sorted out so that we can concentrate on pushing the pedals!

RandonneursIndia Cycling Jersey with Arm warmers and Shorts

These have been custom designed in USA and manufactured in Italy.
The cloth was specially selected for the Cold European summers which we Indians may not be able to tolerate.
Thermal Arm Warmers and the Jerseys are realized with ELASTIC MICRON on the front and on the sleeves for an OPTIMUM comfort and the BEST BREATHABILITY,  MICRON on the back and on the pockets for BETTER RESISTANCE.
SHORTS are with an ANATOMIC PATTERN to obtain the BEST PERFORMANCE REALIZED with LYCRA PERFORMER POWER, and a new ELASTIC FABRIC at the end of the shorts with NON SLIP silicone inside, to obtain the best wearability, and the best grip, WITHOUT COMPRESSION during the performance.
THE PADS are with an ANATOMIC PATTERN  that reduces the excess of material, with DIFFERENT THICKNESS to obtain the MAXIMUM COMFORT and the STRONGEST PROTECTION with the LOWEST COMPRESSION in the critical points.

Super Roubaix fabric is a patented, fast recovery super stretch fabric, air permeable, strong, soft and easy to care. This s used in our Shorts and Arm warmers.
85%Polyamide 15% Lycra
THE PAD

The padding in the shorts also is  imported.
The part next to the skin is in ELASTIC MICRON fabric that gives you an optimum breathability and an excellent softness.
The Central and the two back parts are realized with three different thickness to obtain the strongest protection and the lowest compression in the critical points.
The side and front parts are textured. The paddings are made with a polyurethanic foam with a polyester base with cells  (Elio Cell) that gives you an optimum breathability and a
HARD MEMORY with the squeezing.
Unfortunately it was not practicable to make a full sleeve jersey and long cycling tights. The picture shown is only for display.
THE RANDONNEURS INDIA TEAM  together with NIKHIL MEHTA,PRABODH, WITH THE DESIGNERS RUPAL BHINDA (USA)  AND ROBERTA (ITALY)  spent a lot of time money and energy for us to see the final product,Satish will always be in their debt.
